板蔵

現代美術館である母屋の裏にある板蔵です。
別の場所に建っていたものを移築、改修しています。
主に企画展の展示スペースとなっています。

Itakura

It is a board storehouse behind the main building of the Museum of Contemporary Art.
We are relocating and renovating what was built in another location.
It is mainly an exhibition space for special exhibitions.

里山公園

現代美術館の左側から裏山へと、散策できるように里山公園を整備しています。様々な植物や昆虫が楽しめます。
山門をくぐってお堂を経て、裏山の頂上へと続き、ぐるりと周回できるようになっています。

Satoyama Park

Satoyama Park is maintained so that you can take a walk from the left side of the Museum of Contemporary Art to the back mountain. You can enjoy various plants and insects.
You can go around the mountain gate, pass through the temple, and continue to the top of the back mountain.

敷地奥には、２０１５年の「AUC」企画による「宮城におけるアースワーク」､２０１６年の「おかざき乾じろ」による企画展「POST /UMUM=OCT /OPUS」の作品「パパゴラ」が常設展示作品として楽しめます。いずれも自然と時間を織り込んだ変化に富む作品となります。

また、一番大きな広場は、毎年秋「くりはら万葉祭」の会場として利用されています。

水源から落差を利用した池にはメダカが生息していて、子供たちにも気軽に自然に触れあえる環境となっています。
レジデンス棟は、作家が滞在しながら制作できるように、また各種講演やワークショップなどの会場として利用されています。

In the back of the site, there is a permanent exhibition of “Earthwork in Miyagi” planned by “AUC” in 2015 and “Papagora”, a work of “POST / UMUM = OCT / OPUS” planned by “Kenjiro Okazaki” in 2016. You can enjoy it as a work. All of them are works that are rich in variety and incorporate time naturally.

In addition, the largest open space is used as the venue for the “Kurihara Manyo Festival” every autumn.

Medaka live in a pond that uses the head from the water source, creating an environment where children can easily come into contact with nature.
The residence building is used as a venue for various lectures and workshops so that artists can work while staying.
